Student Life Athletics
Jon O Athletic Director

Letter from Mr. O

Greetings from the "Eyrie" of the Falcons and welcome to another exciting year of athletics! I am proud to be in my third year as the Athletic Director at Cornerstone Christian School.

It is a true honour to welcome you to our Christ-centered environment that engages the body, heart, and mind of our student-athletes, empowers their soul and spirit through a Christian-based education, and equips them for the future. Here at CCS, we try to accomplish these goals through athletics by embracing excellence, discipline and sportsmanship.

Cornerstone Christian School is a proud member of the Moose Jaw & Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association (MJHSAA & SHSAA) and fields boys and girls athletic programs, in about 14 varsity and junior varsity sports. We have 30+ students participating in our athletic program each year. Our mission here in CCS focuses on the complete success of our students, and I have always been a firm believer that interscholastic athletics is an immense part of excelling in an educational setting. Our student-athletes push for excellence in their sports. They work hard to fulfill their God-given potential in the classroom and on the playing surfaces, and have become leaders and role models within our school community and beyond. Like Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:31 - "...whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

Our whole faculty and staff are committed to get the most out of our student-athletes while glorifying God through the excellence He allows them to achieve. I work with a winning team in the athletics department, from the office to the field. We have passionate coaches who care about the game and our student-athletes.

Our coaches and I are always happy to talk with you about our programs and answer any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to contact myself and coaches.

Jon Oliveros (aka "Mr. O")
